I read this book this weekend with my son who is 2nd grader. This was a little lengthier than most books he has read. To my pleasant surprise he read it all in one sitting and really enjoyed it. The book weaves in a lot of nice science facts into story. It is fairly easy story to follow while bringing out some good expansive vocabulary words for a young reader.. nd grader. Heiss This book ALMOST teaches kids that it's ok to bluff your way through a long-term science project.The way Andy solves his dilemma, by looking carefully at the natural world around him (and a little serendipity) is great.Nice experiment at the back of the book -- do largers fruits have larger seeds?
