The colors are bright. The people do not look sad, but serious and prayerful.. Appropriate to take to Mass K. Heng After reading the other review I almost didn't select this one. And I'd have to disagree with the comment made concerning the mood on the faces. I think the older man's face only shows sincerity with signs of age. So you should decide for yourself. I like the text but am not too interested in the commonality of each illustrated page. As you turn each page, they seem to be almost like the last one. I'm afraid they won't hold the attention of a toddler/young child as they try to sit quietly in Mass. At leas. Given as a gift I got this for my niece, they attend the Catholic church and we do not so they might have a different point of view.however; I read through this book and it was very matter of fact of the reasons that you attend mass. It has really good pictures and I am excited to give it to her.
