Tonia Brooks said It's ok.. I don't like some of the phrasing in this book. For example, the author writes about the dog's "silky fur", but dogs do not have fur they have hair, and the fabric on the picture feels soft and fuzzy rather than silky. Pictures are ok. I just change the words when I read this to my daughter. I like that the images are photographs rather than drawings, which is good for her to look at since she does not yet know what many of the actual pets look like to have schema to recognize drawings of pets. So in that respect, it's developmentally appropriate. All in all, it's ok. We use it but I wouldn't bu. "Five Stars" according to Ito. Good product. M. Cunha said Fun, entertaining, and educational. My daughter really loves animals, so she loves this book just for that aspect. But she also loves to touch their fur, feathers, whiskers, and everything else. I think this book is great in teaching about different animals, treating them nicely (gently touch the cat's whiskers), and textures. I got several other books in the Touch and Feel series and my daughter loves those as well.
