"Interesting historical value" according to Kay Robbins. This book was very interesting to read how tomatoes were grown in the past. I had thought gardens were grown mostly using organic methods until the advent of big agriculture. Apparently I was wrong. This was written in 1907 and advocates using chemicals that most of us have never even heard of. That was not much practical information that I would even consider using but the historical aspect makes it worth reading.. pics and index Too bad the index does not work. It would be nice to have the pics too. This is filler and is not really necessary. This item is what it was represented to be, and I am most appreciative of the fact that I received what I paid for.
