These books are much more than "war stories". Great novels! I look forward to the next one in this series. Read one of these and you'. Difficult to read but well written All the name places & German officer ranks were confusing which made the story hard to follow initially. However, I perservered & it was a clever plot. Detective tale in a war situation. The comments about his reaction to Stalingrad were very poignant.
