DESCRIPTION:
"a classic advanced theromdynamics text" according to Paul Jameson. This was a graduate level thermodynamics text. It is not a walk in the park, but Tribus is a good writer and makes the subject understandable if you have some familiarity with a bit of advanced math. Also I had a great teacher, Dr. Simon DeSoto who just loved the subject and who, I think, was the author of the workbook for this text.Tribus had a knack of explaining a difficult subject and the book contains a lot of diagrams and drawings to help explain the subject. My course was officially Statistical Thermodynamics, but for the life of me I could not see that
The book Thermostatics and Thermodynamics An Introduction to Energy, Information and States of Matter, with Engineering Applications written by Tribus M consist of 649 pages.
