This was a fun book and I really enjoyed it because it was presented in an easy way to learn and understand how some civilisations lived in the old old days, not the usual way of sometimes boring history books. This was a fun book and I really enjoyed it because it was presented in an easy way to learn and understand how some civilisations lived in the old old days, not the usual way of sometimes boring history books. This book make me want to learn more details about the Vikings.. Educational and very funny An educational and very funny read. The facts are all true, but have been presented in a consistely funny and readable tabloid style. Maps, pictures, and fact boxes (and some very funny ads) support the text. Highly recommended.. L. Hansen said Hilarious history. I highly recommend this book if you like your history with a humorous slant. It's a great way to interest a kid who doesn't like history. Written like a "National Enquirer" of ancient times, it relates real history with a tongue-in-cheek style that will have you and your kid chuckling, if not laughing out loud.
