It was the best book on collecting (anything, not just antiques) I had read. What makes one object better than another, how to discern the difference, why when you purchase anything and you have a choice, choosing the better, more pleasing design can make a difference even if it is just a wooden spoon etc.I very reluctantly returned the book to my friend and thereafter fantasised that I would find my own copy one day in a second hand book shop.A few weeks ago I bought some beautiful John Pawso. and lent it to me. It was the best book on collecting (anything, not just antiques) I had read.
