Dee Ernst loved reading at an early age and decided to become a writer, though she admits it took a bit longer than she expected. She loved chick lit but felt frustrated by the younger heroines who couldn’t figure out how to get what they wanted, so she writes about women like herself—older, more confident, and with a wealth of life experience. She loves sun
Another great book by Dee Ernst! D. York As always, Dee Ernst has a way with words! The main character, Anne seems like someone you could be friends withor she could be you! Her friends, a diverse bunch, still seem like the kind of people most of us would want to hang out with! (And by most of us, I mean middle-aged women! haha!)I don't want to give anything away, but I will say that Ernst addresses the issue that so many of us ponder during movies or books where a series of misunderstandings lands the protagonist in tro. The best, fun book I have read in a long time! Amazon Customer I loved this book right from the start and couldn't put it down. It was a fun, great storyline that moves at a good pace. There are a few twists that keeps it interesting. Annie & her friends rent a house for a week in the Hamptons. They meet Jason Wilde and their adventure begins. Annie meets Andy but doesn't know what his job is at first. It adds interest to the story. The story was well written, great characters, and the whole package was very enjoyable!. "What can go wrong will, fun book." according to Joan Koko. Annie, Deb, Kelly and Tina head off to the Hamptons for their annual week break before the summer season is in full swing. They rent the same house every year that is right on the beach for eating and relaxing. Tina is a huge fan of Jason Wilde who happens to be working in the Hamptons and she is hoping to run into him and they did. But things just seem to snowball out of control, and the girls try to get things back on track and still enjoy their vacation.
She loves sunsets, beach walks, and really cold martinis.. About the AuthorDee Ernst loved reading at an early age and decided to become a writer, though she admits it took a bit longer than she expected. Now a full-time writer, Dee lives in her home state of New Jersey with her family, a few cats, and a needy cocker spaniel. She loved chick lit but felt frustrated by the younger heroines who couldn’t figure out how to get what they wanted, so she writes about women like herself—older, more confident, and with a wealth of life experience. After the birth of her second daughter at the age of forty, she committed to giving writing a real shot. In 2012, her novel Better Off Without Him became an bestseller
After her divorce, librarian Annie Reynolds thought she’d closed the book on love for good—it just wasn’t part of her safe, comfortable routine. The media calls it a kidnapping, and before long, the FBI is on the hunt.Soon the ladies’ tame little trip has turned into the adventure of a lifetime. But when one of her friends turns a simple flirtation with B-list movie star Jason Wilde into seduction—and Jason accidentally mixes a few drinks and his back-pain medicine—the ladies end up with a very high-profile houseguest. But if there’s anyplace she can relax and have a little fun, it’s Dune Road, where she and her closest girlfriends return for their annual getaway in the Hamptons. She knows it’s just what she needs to escape her empty nest (and empty bed).A chance encounter with a ruggedly handsome local promises Annie just that. But will this case of mistaken misdoing sabotage Annie’s second chance at love, or will she have the confidence to take matters into her own hands to find her happily ever after?
