DESCRIPTION:
I enjoyed reading it This was a required text for a horticulture class. I enjoyed reading it.. "Entertaining enough for the layman" according to Homesteader. I'm not really the intended audience of this book, being a home gardener rather than a student, but I enjoyed it just the same. The book is much easier to read than I expected, with plenty of white space and pictures to make it easy on the eyes. It is also a good reference to keep on hand for the professional.

I have used the book in my soil class at a community college since it was first introduced by the author and have not found anything that comes close to being as useful as this text." . It is very user-friendly, with an easy to read style and many figures and color pictures illustrating concepts. It is user friendly, marrying theory and practical knowledge into one text. The Plaster text continues to be my favorite
