I got this from the library so much that I had to buy it! Gabriel DeBell I love this book. It is obviously shot in English homes. It has some great ideas and some ideas I can pass on. But the idea of making a small space your own and using the space smartly is international. Unfortunately, in the USA, it is very hard to find functional and artistic spaces that can accommodate a small family for everyday living. I say some amazing spaces in this book that would be easy to emulate in my small Denver home.. Small Space Style This little book asks the important questions, who will be using the rooms, what are the best and worst points and what style do you really like. Each room's unique issues are examined. While Ms. Scattergood shows inspirational rooms, that is all they are. There is not one style of decorating held above others. She goes on to explain not only what types of furniture would look good in a space, but the whys of each piece.Just as she advocates using each bit of spac. Avid Reader said Depends on your style. I guess some people might call the aesthetic exemplified in this book "cozy", or "lived in", but others (such as myself) would call it cluttered and overdone. If you are looking on how to create a fresh and cool small space, there are many other better books out there especially for practical advise. Sorry to have it to give it a thumbs down!
