Cosmic Semiotics, the "Word of God" writ Large, very Large ! A Customer Gordon Spykman's "Reformational Theology: A New Paradigm for Doing Dogmatics" may be the most innovative contemporary theological prolegomena available. Obviously before his time, and yet a relative unknown(from Calvin College), Spykman has managed to address many of the most perplexing issues extant within the modern\postmodern morass. From the seemingly impervious enculturated dich. "A Magnificent Tome On Reformed Dogmatics!" according to CHONG EU CHOONG. Spykman's tome on dogmatics (systematic theology as it is known in the US) is rather unusual. He organizes his work not along the traditional lines of systematic theology which usually starts off with a prolegomena follow by the usual topics on God, Anthropology, Christology, etc. Rather, his work is organized along the lines of biblical narratives such as Creation, Fall, Redemption. Jon Herrin said Very good book.. First time I've come across a systematic theology that makes sense! Spykman is my new hero among systematicists. Very good book
Following the Biblical story line of creation, fall-redemption-consummation, Spykman's "new paradigm" systematics represents a notable revision of the traditional loci method-Spykman has reordered the basic Christian dogmas in a bold attempt to overcome the rationalist-scholastic influences inherent in the older method.
