Lavender24 I have enjoyed all of Annette Larsen's books so far! This is another example of very fine writing. This story is a bit more intense than the others because Raina herself is an intense person. She is reserved, but struggles with her fears, her past, and who she really is. Painting helps her find herself - and unexpectedly - her true love as well. There is good chemistry between her and her true love. The ending is satisfy. . I love Annette's Dalthia series and Painting Rain may be my new favorite. I love the parallel between Lorraina's growth as a painter and as an individual. I liked seeing the inside of such an disliked character as she strives to change. And who can't appreciate a good-natured hero who can "see" the heroine even when she's at her worst? The whole business with Tobias was heartwrenching in Missing Lily, and I appreciated un. Laney said Fantastic read. I really loved this book because it was so poetic. Lorraina was a character I didn't like in the past books of the series but this book is able to give her some dimension. I like how Annette is able to make a romance that doesn't just revolve around the couple but the growth of Lorraina. It was a deeply moving read and I loved every minute of it
