It looks like a lot of fun: "Just like the older boys, I wanted to make the flame dance." You can guess what happens next to John. This part of the book is painful to read--honestly, I could hardly bear to read his account.Rescued, barely, John's recovery experience in the hospital is as bad as you might imagine. Perhaps the worst part is the "broom closet." That's where the burn therapists wheeled John when they worked on moving his knees. He screamed so badly that they wanted. Must read. All age groups. However it is appropriate for any age group. Grandparents, parents, college and high school students. With so many " Debbie downers" in the world it is great to read an uplifting "how to choose to live" book. I looked forward to reading each chapter knowing it would have a new theme different from the previous chapter. I highlighted several messages while reading the book which I intend to revisit on rainy days.. NEXT TO THE BIBLE, ITS MY FAVORITE! Next to the Bible, this is the finest book I have ever read. I couldn't put it down. The pages turn so quickly and John takes us from tears to humor to grief to joy to amazement to humility and every emotion in between. I absolutely can't say enough about this amazing book. I will read it again and again and again. My 89 year old mother was so touched as well. I gave it to her on Monday and she was finished with it by Wednesday morning!
