Bedtime and Trucks: A perfect combo Debbie and Lydia Vilardi Who ever thought there could be a bed time book about trucks? Here's a perfect one. We got this book over a year ago for my son. I'm now buying it for friends and surprised to see no reviews posted. The story follows a boy and his mom as they pass trucks on their way home. Each truck heads for it's garage and "Off goes its engine, off goes its lights." At the end, the boy turns off his own engine and lights. My son has incorporated this phrasing into his own bedtime routine. As I said before, perfect for the truck lover who needs a good book to settl. One of the best My three year old son asked me to read this book to him three nights a week for almost a year. It's wonderful and worth it!. "Filled with repetitions that are great for toddlers!" according to T. Chang. We came across this book in the library. My 2 year old loved the book so much I decided to buy one for keep! I was only able to find ex-library copies on Amazon, which was fine considering it's hard cover and has a dust jacket on already. The book is obviously transportation themed, with a lot of repetitions that are great for kids this age. He asked for this book to be read several nights a week.
