DESCRIPTION:
He also covers Object-Oriented analysis, design and coding techniques while illustrating the use of C++ as an implementation language/environment for the construction of interpreters and compilers. From the Publisher In Object-Oriented Compiler Construction, Holmes details the concepts and methods used to construct interpreters and compilers, namely a Pascal compiler.
This comprehensive volume describes the design and implementation of interpreters and compilers, with specific emphasis on the construction of a Pascal compiler. Author Jim Holmes uses object-oriented analysis and design methods to elucidate the specific compiler components and then gives actual C++ implementation details of these definitions.
Half Readable for Me The book seems good at first, having really great concepts, although it then goes into what seems like it must be assemblylanguage. I think the author made the mistake of assuming thereader knows assembly language. The issue with text books, by Pearson,is that they try to confuse the reader, this may be the teacher's best betat failing students. Be warned, studying before you take a class is highlyrecommended
