Even writer Gerry Conway spends several pages in his Introduction apologizing for them and explaining why they are not that great. But after reading the stories in this volume I'm afraid I don't detect much of any drop in quality. Only the first two issues which are padded out with flashbacks retelling Avengers history and line-up changes seemed phoned in to me.Despite the bevy of writers, pencillers, and inkers the book is consistently at a high level after t
