"A very interesting book!" according to graphicfunk. In many ways this book is fantastic and in some minor ways terrible. First the good. It is an ideal intro to the world of sampling. It gets you up and running from the the very first chapter. It also explores the daws and the approach to their sampling. Of course, much more. Helps explore the drum sequencing plug ins that come with cube bas, Logic pro, Ableton, etc. It also gets you started using a midi controller. Since the scope is very wide and then the author breaks down each concept for each of the daws, well, this eats up a lot of pages and trims the info on the midi controller. The author is well versed and regardless of any shortcomi. Amazon Customer said GREAT BOOK. Really teaches you everything you need to know and its beginner friendly. Yay for the novices! I will def keep ths book for years to come as a guide.. Read the table of contents I can't imagine who would buy this book and get use out of more than half of it.Each section repeats for owners of three different DAWS.Targeting a very broad audience, I can only imagine everyone who bought this book was mislead in doing so and ended up disappointed.I didn't buy it myself, just wanted to warn people against it, unless of course you use these three specific DAWS and you are a novice at making beats in all of them.Find something else.
