DESCRIPTION:
A Customer said A Forgotten Pleasure. Lupin has been around for a while. Today, some might not identify so well with his sexist humor and his immoral ways. But, if you can get past your modern PC world, Lupin is genius. Lupin has no soul. That is what MAKES him the best theif in the world! This manga is well written, the characters beautifully developed, and the cartooning gritty enough for his exploits. Lets face it, Lupin is the James Bond of Japanese anime. If you want crazy action, sharp wit, and other ridiculous foibels, Lupin is for you. Extra points to those who steal this bo. David Swan said More Misogynist Wackiness. Still no sign of Goemon but Jigen plays a much larger roll in volume "More Misogynist Wackiness" according to David Swan. Still no sign of Goemon but Jigen plays a much larger roll in volume 2 than he did in the first. The formula created in the previous book continues although Lupin is perhaps even cheekier than before. In one story Lupin is in a race to the top of a mountain. Unlike the anime." according to A Customer. The protagonist of this first comic--the one you might remember fondly from the vastly superior anime--gleefully rapes women (who are always sultry spies or vapid bubble-heads, and who always come around to their passionate nature afterwards,) uses toilet humor without ever evoking humour, and acts without valour or wit. The themes which threatened to wear thin in the Anime at times (such as the cliche'd everpresence of the perpetually and uncomically incompetent detective) are tedious before you've even trudged half the way through the amateuri

Monkey Punch's Lupin III franchise follows the exploits of master thief, Lupin III, and his fellow partners-in-crime, Jigen, Goemon, and Fujiko. Over the 35 years since the first installment of Lupin's exploits appeared in print in Japan, the franchise has spun off a total of 3 separate manga series (comprising dozens of volumes) and hundreds of animated TV episodes, theatrical features, and original video productions. Take a healthy dose of James Bond, add a splash of The Thomas Crown Affair, filter through the warped prism of Mad magazine stir throughly and multiply by about 12 the resulting cocktail might just begin to capture the irrepressible lunacy of Lupin III.
