This book wishes to satisfy the curiosity of a broader readership by offering explanations ranging from suitably chosen similes, to exact mathematical equations, accompanied by precise graphs and charts. A coherent system of equations developed by the author, and based solely on Einstein's formula for velocity composition, requires only first derivatives, single integrals and trigonometry, which should be understood, at least in principle, by any college graduate. This book presents a thorough collection of phenomena observable aboard a space ship, steadily accelerating towards the nearest star. Moreover, easy-to-follow examples and Q-cards, with detailed formula breakdown, encourage participation of readers possessing lesser familiarity with mathematics.

An excellent Read for both Scientists and Artists !! In this excellent work, Krten weaves an amusing story about a kindergarten teacher who is going on a long journey into space. On the surface the book can be read as simply a fairy-tale / science fiction story, but there is much more to it for those who are scientifically or mathematically inclined. The author manages to work in some very complex physical phenomena to the story, and gives the reader a credible look at what it would be like to journey on a spaceship that is approaching the speed of light. This is done is a way that is quite i
