Not for beginners, Everybody learns different, but this wasn't for me. Ray M Conceptually the layout of this book is good and the HTML5 and CSS parts are decent, but in reality unless you are already an expert programmer in another language or you already think you know JavaScript this book is quite frustrating. I wouldn't say its for beginners, I have been doing SQL for a few years and taking care of our website, and thought I would be able to learn JavaScript to modernize it. The book doesn't flow well, it needs more editing, none of the code has any comments to help explain wha. "Great for beginners." according to Alan K. I don't usually write reviews on my purchases, but this book is just *that* good.It's the only book you need to more or less master HTML5, JS and jQuery and gives youeverything you need to get started on some real projects and to have a thorough understanding of html5, Javascript and Jquery fundamentals.I can now read more advanced topic and have a better understand of what is going on.There have been concepts in HTML5 that I truly struggled with as a beginner.This books makes it MUCH more comprehensible . It is a decent book but I did not like the flow of information It is a decent book but I did not like the flow of information.
