I found Hidden Deep by a recommendation from Amazon based on my having read a lot of YA Fantasy books. I figured with a free kindle book, I'd give it a try and I'm so glad I did. This first book sucked me in. I immediately cared about the characters and wanted to see where the story would take them. I found it funny and sweet and couldn't put it or any of the rest of the books down. Because I found this first book so much later than it was written, I was. Very well-written and interesting, but I am not the target audience. I will start with what I liked: The characters were well drawn and interesting. The paranormal (or is it fantasy? I don't know what to call it) stuff was easier for me to enjoy than vampires or werewolves or other non-human stories. Fey are actually pretty interesting.I think that if I was the target audience, I really would have enjoyed it.But I am not and I didn't.I really like my romance wrapped up with a Happily Ever After at the end of the book.
