Formerly published as Talisman of Troy!!! Kakha OK. I was duped. There is not a single word about this book here at Amazon, so I did not know they simply changed the title. I really like the author and decided to buy this book despite having no information about it - I knew it would well be worth the money. Turns out it is the book I have already read. Of course, I will not rate down this great book because I accidentally got a second copy of it.I had read and LOVED Talisman of Troy. Just as I did Manfredi's other historical fiction novels. He is brilliant. You read them i. After the fall of Troy – aka The Talisman of Troy As other reviewers have mentioned, this book is in fact The Talisman of Troy published under a different title and without any warning from the publisher or Amazon. Regardless of whether this is due to carelessness or cheap marketing tactics, which I was lucky NOT to get caught by simply because I had not read the Talisman of Troy before, this book is well worth reading for several sets of reasons. The first set is the author’s choice to tell the story of the other ancient Greek Homeric heroes who returned after the fall. Firstly, watch out!I had become a fan of Mr Manfredi after reading 'Tyrant', the 'Alexander' trilogy and 'The Talisman Of Troy'.I was pleased to grab a copy of 'Heroes' when I saw it on the book shelf. Then I found out that it IS 'The Talisman Of Troy' with a different title and cover.Literally the same book, page for page. That said, it's well written and ticked all of the boxes as far as I was concerned.Make no mistake, this is an excellent book, but not so good as I'd buy it twice!
