Ghost developing infour minutes Wanda's World Loved it! Love Darcy Coates! She writes a story that hooks you quickly and holds you steady. Every time I read one of her stories I feel like I'm right there with the characters running for my life! She really makes you wonder about these innocent looking things. I had one of these nifty little devices back in the day. The wonderful instant Polaroid camera. Loved that thing! It was like "visual toast."But what happens when something additional develops on film that wasn't in the shot? Weird shadows and blurs. Yeah it happens, but Darcy Coates goes one step beyond and it's a hair raising experience for friends Jenine and Bree a. Kimmy's Korner said Frighteningly Chilling Concept!. Ghost Camera is a scary, quick read that had me dreaming about ghosts touching my hair! The story revolves around a woman who finds a Polaroid camera that picks up ghosts when the photos develop. As strange things begin to happen and the photos show more horrific spirits, things heat up and soon two best friends are in dire circumstances. I was seriously frightened, reading in bed one night and ended up having a scary dream.Coates writes with an every woman kind of voice making this book a fast read as I turned pages to see how in the heck our hero would get herself out of this horrible situation. Well done!. Glorified short story, but a good one M. Broderick I read this on Kindle, but the 130 page count mentioned seems high to me. In any case, I enjoyed this good short read. As others have mentioned, this is Gothic horror, with the creepiness escalating during the story, and it reaches a short rather abrupt climax. The emphasis is on dread and creepy and desperation, not really on details of how our heroes will get out of the situation, and definitely not on gore. I bought it for 99 cents and read it in about an hour, and it was well worth it!
