DESCRIPTION:
A specialized glossary and annotated bibliography are provided to give the nonspecialist the resources needed to apply these data at all levels in a modern exploration environment.. Some of these provide historical perspective on the use of the tools. The technical papers are supplemented by commentary from diverse representatives of the gravity and magnetics community on how to attack exploration problems. Intended as a reference for exploration geoscientists, this collection of 24 papers includes regional tectonic and basin analysis approaches to gravity and magnetic data as well as play, prospect, and field studies. Exploration case histories ranging from classical salt interpretations to state-of-the-art gravity and magnetic gradiometry investigations are brought together in this CD, which was first publis
No "Case Histories" redJ9 Overall, useful for a rank beginner, but needs actual Case Histories to be what it says it is. Grav and Mag are enormously useful and helpful when exploring immature or frontier areas. I was hoping that this CD would be helpful for our client-students, for providing examples of how to use modern grav & mag data to locate and delineate basins, faults and intrusions of various types.but this compilation seems written by folks still stuck in the last century. Sorry guys, but it's true. Unfortunately, there is nothing better o
