These fairy books are good for a beginning reader The subject material is pretty fluffy. Personally I get annoyed by "girly" products that make it seem as if true conflict never exists in a girly world. But I understand the reason for it and the good news about this whole series is that there is very little in there to trouble most parents. The content is whitewashed thoroughly. My daughter has probably read 20 of these books (there are many many many more) from varying series and so far I haven't seen anything to be of concern. And she enjoyed them enough to wa. Super book! Easy enough to read with just a bit of a challenge. I am trying to get an outside girl interested in reading and she read this. I had promised her that after she read it then we would go and play fairies outside as her reward. She wanted to read another! I was pleased about that since she had been having problems in her reading class. I guess all I needed to do was find something she wanted to read! We found it here!
