"Good reference for experience programmer" according to J.T. I have experience in java and C programming and found this book easy to digest. I do not recommend this book for people who are just beginning to learn programming as this is not the purpose of this book.Be aware that this book is not structured like those programming books that you might have read. This is not a beginner guide to programming. I feel that it is meant for programmers who have already attain certain level of experience in programming language like java, C++ etc.For those who have done programming and wanted to venture out into MQL and programming y. samp said initial assessment of book. I am an engineer. Have been involved with FX trading for about 1.5 years. Have developed ideas for EA's over that time. Had to get programmers to code for me as I did not know how to. Felt frustrated with doing that because of constantly having to spend money on getting others to program for me, not to mention the difficulty in getting the programmer to understand exactly what you want. Decided I need to learn MQL myself. Have had little programing experience. Did one semester of programing (Pascal) about "initial assessment of book" according to samp. I am an engineer. Needless to say, fo. 5 years ago in first year University. Needless to say, fo. Helpful, but not for absolute begineers. This book certainly helped and significantly advanced my understanding of the topic. Without it I would have needed to spend many more hours to acheive the standard I have attained. I had no experience programming in C, so the text was not simple. I was able to understand the topic only by filling in, and working out a lot of holes (assumed knowledge) the book didnt adequately explain. It is however a very honest attempt to explain the topic, and the coding he provides is very useful and robust. It would benefit from a revision after being proofread by a begineer
