"Teaching manual is good, but not needed~" according to Cheryl Cotten. If you already own the first Essential Reiki, you really don't need to purchase the teaching manual. The same handouts and pictures are in both books, just the teaching manual gives information about setting up a practice and how to advertise for classes. I think I was looking for more information like maybe quizzes or tests.I don't regret my purchase at all, it is still handy..
