My 6 year old doesn't have the patience to read through a research guide the entire way through on her own but together it makes for a fun projectshe gets to tell me about what happened in the story to Jack & Annie and together we learn some fun facts about whatever time/place the story was about.. Good companion book It took some coaxing to get him into the book, but once he did my son loved it. We incorporate the companion books to homeschool to add more to the Magic Tree House series..
