"Excellent book on the topic" according to Brian Erik. Definitely not light reading, but an excellent book on the topic. Well-written and useful for those who need to learn about diagnostic measurement models, either to evaluate research using them or to use them yourself.Update: I still look to the book every now and then, and toy with the idea of using diagnostic measurement models, but can't find the time to learn them fully. If you have a good understanding of IRT and mixture models, and know how to set them up with model constraints, etc., then I imagine you will be able to take full advantage of this book.. anonymous said Easy to understand. Jonathon Templin, one of the authors, just taught a graduate level course using this as the text. He posted his lectures and PowerPoints online and was very friendly in allowing me to to participate as much as I could remotely as someone who just came across his website when I was looking for info on diagnostic models. His level of sharing complex info is admirable!
