Second, the advisors are mostly seen but not heard; in fact they usually run the show (although it's not unusual for the lawyers and investment bankers to be left aside in a novelization. Third, there are a number of inaccuracies in the law and practice of takeovers, and none of them are plot devices. The writing style is plodding, but the book is an OK beach read..
