DESCRIPTION:
The Beebe Woods and the surrounding buildings do not simply belong to the history of one wealthy Boston family. Author Kathleen Brunelle's grandparents were the caretakers of the cottages, and she grew up exploring their many secrets. Rather, the land that they preserved, the architecture they created and the cultural activities they promoted are deeply rooted in Falmouth's history. Join Brunelle as she narrates the remarkable history of these treasured Falmouth landmarks and once again wanders the historic rooms of Highfield Hall.. In 1876 wealthy Bostonian Pierson Beebe chose a secluded hill in Falmouth, Massachusetts, as the spot to build his summer cottage, Highfield Hall. The following year, his brother James Arthur Beebe began construction next door on his own mansion, Tanglewood

"Excellent research" according to mossyfur. Nicely written tale of two houses. I bought it for the pages on my husband's first cousin, once removed. Kathleen Brunelle did some excellent research and added many facts to our bare bones genealogy of Cousin Gertrude.. A good many "facts" in the Randle chapter are simply incorrect J&B Publications (Consignment) Interesting stuff on Rosalyn Randle but quite unorganized, filled with not very interesting "insights," and desperately needed an editor. A good many "facts" in the Randle chapter are simply incorrect.. disappointing read advertised as her family's role w/ his place disappointing read advertised as her family's role w/ his place and had ver little to do w/ that. more about history of house and family who lived within
