I bought this copy to give to my youngest son, so he can build the same layout with his two sons. Appropriate photos, plans and tips to make a nice little layout. An excellent how-to book.. Thom H said Excellent guide. This is an excellent starting place for beginning modelers, and not bad for those working on an addition to a beginners set or expanding. Good info on the whole process, with the section of benchwork and wiring particularly useful. While this book was first written in the mid-eighties and last updated in the late eighties, the info is still useful an
