good reading. loved that the young lady had so roelle seamount good reading. loved that the young lady had so many experiences just because she was considered a young man. "What could possibly go wrong?" according to pjburn. Well, at least a half-dozen events and circumstances provide all the conflict and opportunities that young physician and spy Christoval Alvarez needs to entertain us yet once more. Swinfen’s skills in characterization and narrative pace are evident and as pleasing as ever. We learn some of young Kit’s back-story before the family fled the Inquisition that drove them out of their native Portugal and on to England when Kit w. Elizabethan, and very solid book. K. Salmon Ann Swinfen has done very well so far with Cristoval Alvarez and the late Elizabethan England. And she is growing as a writer. All the good ones keep getting better and better. This book is better, more internally consistent and a strong look at Cristoval. She's well worth the buying of the early prince.I won't say much about the book.
