Epic quartet Truly epic scale of world building, spanning not just a medieval Europe type land but also middle east and India with world religions. Very intriguing plots and twists. I would put this up there w LOTR and WoT series. First book took me a while to get into, author throwing lots of strange names and places at you real fast but it's so worth it in the end.
