More of a collection than a volume, but each element still works individually, if not cohesively I have to start this with my usual admission of bias; I am a gigantic fan of this comic series so it is hard for me to not come across as a massive fanboy. Here Come the Realm Wars The "Age of Darkness" titles extend to all four of the Realms that make up the Grimm Universe, (Oz, Neverland, Wonderland and Myst), and involve almost all of the Grimm characters and especially the Realm Knights. Zenescope is building to a big Issue 100, (which is considered a real milestone). After Issue 100 the Universe will split: it will continue along one line with issue 101 and will continue in a parallel but separate line in the 12 issue "Realm Wars" series.There are three "Age of Darkness" Volumes leading us up to that milestone. Volume 1 included a one-shot that introduced the Dark Quee. "Wonderland, Oz, and chick fights" according to Alt. This volume gives us Venus, who lets us know that a war is coming, but then a war is always coming so that's no surprise. She'll have to fight that war against Zeus. It begins while Zeus is having lunch at Gyro Palace (clever touch, I thought). Fortunately, Zeus has one of his sons (Julian) on his side, although after so many deaths and rebirths Julian doesn't quite recognize his dad.
