Allen, Tellejohn, and Gillespie are music educators who present the material in a very clear way.. "But it is great resource." according to Jerry E. Semler. You still need a teacher. But it is great resource.. SueB-utiful said I have delusions of being ready for this book. but I love it. Not only am I trying to teach myself, but I also do some music notation for various mixed musician groups, of different genres, and this helps me understand what notation might be needed by the professional strings player. All of the books in this series have been very helpful to me. The ones that come with a CD/DVD disc are the best.
