DESCRIPTION:

"Good Primer on Noise Cancellation Technology" according to meowfast. This is a good book to get an understanding of what are the technical challenges to implementing a noise cancellation system. The book is light on technical implementation though. You aren't going to be able to design a noise cancellation system (at least a good) one with the information in this book. He makes reference to more advanced books for that kind o. "Exactly what it says it is" according to S. Gigl. This book is as the title advertises: a very concise, readable introduction to ANC. Gives a good idea of when and how it can be used, with enough technical detail to get you started.

From the reviews:Graduate students and professionals who are new to the field of active control are often faced with the fact that they need a working knowledge of several fields, such as microelectronics and digital signal processing, in addition to being well versed in acoustics and noise control. I recommend it strongly." (Neville Fletcher, The Physicist, Vol. … the author provides some very good descriptions that should lead to understanding for the uninitiated." (Scott D. … The approach is practical and the level ideal for physics or engineering students, at advanced undergraduate or beginning graduate level … . 38 (3), 2001). Overall, I would recommend this book readily for any serious student embarking on research in the area of active control.--Measurement Science and Technology"The author gives an overview of acoustics, noise control, and application areas w
