semperlaeta said Author keeps History in mind. I skimmed this book for background information, and was impressed that Magner's did not interpret and judge ancient history on a modern science basis, but rather presented and evaluated each scientist as he dealt with the information he had, answering the questions. "Perhaps the most comprehensive and readable history of the life sciences" according to Jeffery L. Smith. Highly readable, entertaining, and thorough. Be aware that there are errors in the Kindle edition that presumably occurred during OCR. For example "By 1920, Descartes had discovered a method of reasoning that he believed would be applicable to all the sciences." Th. RyanMJohnson75 said Five Stars. Awesome
