It also includes a helpful glossary and index.I don't care for the look of the manequins the clothes are displayed on, otherwise I am very pleased with this book.. Rare Resource on Everyday 1950s Fashions Deborah Sessions I checked out this book from the library enough to know I should just purchase it so I can always have it handy. I research vintage fashion for my blog on fashion history and I am always in need of books that cover the names of clothing, types of common garments, colors, materials, and especially men's and children's clothing. For this purpose I LOVE this book. It doesn't say much, mostly pictures of vintage 50's clothing (I agree with other reviewers they not up to today's photographic standards), but what little it does say is far more useful as a s. Sarah said I pretty much hate this book. This book has a terrible layout. Some of the clothes are nice, but they are shown on wire forms which make them look awful. Not an eye pleaser at all, but it serves as an ok reference.
