Commentary review Shakespeare This is an excellent commentary providing cutural and contemporary literature background to the Old Testament.It really helps to understand the world that the Hebrews lived in. I highly recommend it anyone who is wanting to know more than just an explanation of the scriptures. It is like studying the American Civil War by knowing what Europe was doing at the time, especially England. I think you can understand why the Hebrews acted as they did when you know more about the life and pressures around them.
